About the Role:

Salim Homes Residential Services in Nashville, TN is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a mental health residential facility
• Monitor and document resident behavior, mood, and progress in accordance with individualized treatment plans
• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
• De-escalate crisis situations using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support resident goals
• Facilitate structured activities and therapeutic programming to promote resident wellness
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident interactions and incidents

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or residential care settings preferred
• Knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
