Experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions, transforming data from Azure Synapse Analytics into interactive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards.
Designed and implemented scalable data architectures using Synapse (dedicated SQL pools, serverless SQL) as the backend for enterprise reporting.
Strong expertise in advanced DAX (CALCULATE, time intelligence, context transition, dynamic KPIs) to build business-critical metrics and insights. Built optimized star schema data models on top of Synapse datasets, ensuring high performance for large-scale reporting.
Developed complex SQL queries in Synapse (CTEs, window functions, joins, query tuning) to prepare curated datasets for Power BI consumption.
Created robust ETL pipelines integrating Synapse with Power BI using Power Query and dataflows for seamless data transformation.
Delivered high-quality UI/UX dashboards, focusing on clean layouts, intuitive navigation, storytelling, and executive-level reporting.
Led migration of legacy BI reports and on-prem data warehouses into Synapse + Power BI ecosystem with data validation and performance optimization.
Managed Power BI semantic layer and metadata using Tabular Editor, XMLA endpoints, and best practices for lineage and governance.
Leveraged TMDL and PBIP for version-controlled development and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistency across environments.
Built reusable PBIT templates to standardize report development and accelerate deployment across business units.
Worked with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouses) to extend Synapse-based solutions into modern unified analytics platforms.
Implemented enterprise-grade security (RLS, OLS) and optimized performance using aggregation tables, incremental refresh, and DAX Studio.
